Jamie is responsible for delivering UK operations across all divisions of the Trent Engineering Group.

As head of operations, Jamie concentrates on client satisfaction, operational risk management, and futureproofing management strategies through digitalisation.

How has your career developed?

With over 25 years in the industry, I have had the opportunity to work on some of the most complex water-based engineering contracts in the UK. Working with many high-profile water clients, I have led successful projects by delivering alternative models with a pragmatic approach. Using my experience, I continually develop the company’s operating model and strategy, whilst working closely with our clients on their projects.

Where do you see the Trent Engineering Group developing over the next 5 years?

Continuing to grow across the UK, providing our services to a large domestic market. With a client focussed philosophy, our aim is to get involved earlier on projects and programmes to increase the value in the offering that we bring to each contract.

Which projects are you most proud of in your career?

Replacing the lock gates for Scottish Canals at Fort Augustus on the Caledonian canal, which feeds into Loch Ness, was a career milestone for me. Being involved in the design, manufacturing and installation of these historic lock gates on a heritage site, and then accepting the CECA Heritage and Restoration Award on behalf of the company was a proud moment. These are the largest waterway lock gates in the UK, so it really was a phenomenal team effort.
